Our mission as a literary magazine is to uplift the voices of those who are often ignored when it comes to art, writing, and publication as a whole. We aim to spread creativity and promote individuality within these communities. For this reason, our magazine is aimed towards young creatives, BIPOC, women, non-native English speakers, people with disabilities, as well as any and all other marginalized communities. To remove the stress from publishing, we strive for quick response times and creative freedom when it comes to interpreting prompts and sharing ideas.

Why Ourania?
The Ourania Review is named after Urania, the Greek Muse of astronomy. We encourage all contributors to reach for the stars—bring forth their best and be proud of what they create. Additionally, many of the deities in the Greek pantheon are Ouranic —of the heavens. Our literary magazines strives to showcase work that demonstrates excellence and makes us gasp in awe. We hold our contributors to high standards! <3
